Ben Wilson is the Chief Executive Officer of St Joseph Affordable Homes and Centacare Evolve Housing. Ben has a proven record and experience in the planning, programming and delivery of over 400 homes in one calendar year and has overseen the construction of over 3,450 new homes across the state of Tasmania during his career. Ben is a Director of Keystone, the Tasmanian Building and Construction Industry Training Board. Ben was Managing Director of Tasmania’s largest residential building contractor, Wilson Homes, where he led the company through years of profitable growth prior to its purchase by a large national company. During this period, he was responsible for construction of almost all the projects undertaken by Centacare Evolve Housing and CatholicCare Tasmania. He has played an active part in the building industry through senior roles in the Housing Industry Association, particularly in the areas of skills development and apprenticeships. Ben developed an innovative and very successful home finance product, funded by Bank of Us, that enabled customers to avoid the onerous burden of progress payments during construction. Ben has a Certificate IV in Building and Construction, Tasmanian Building Practitioner, CC5058Q (Low Rise).
