It was wonderful to see all our age groups competing together with some impressive performances across the board at the Tasmanian All Schools Rowing Championships.
One of our Year 7 crews of Bianca Lampkin-Smith, Maggie Davies, Amelia Gourlay and Harper Koulmandas (coxed by Hugo Dorney from Hutchins) placed first in the Coxed Quad Scull, with Bianca and Harper also placing second in the Year 7 Double Scull and Bianca earning a second place in the Single Scull.
Amelie Dobson and Isabel Leditschke placed second in the Year 8 Double Scull and along with Ivy Brown and Chloe East placed first in the Coxed Quad Scull B.
Our Year 9s made the finals in all events, placing well in Quad, Double, and Single races.
The Year 10s competed well in all races, reaching the finals of the Coxed Four and the Coxed Eight.
Our Opens crew placed a close fourth in the Eight final, with Estella Manson and Penny Geappen also reaching the final of the Pair and delivering a strong race.
A big thank you to our Open rowers for supporting all crews throughout the weekend and well done to everyone on a fantastic regatta.
