2019 TCE results have been released and we are pleased to advise that our girls’ results are up there with the best in the country.
Most importantly, we are very proud of the efforts of the entire Year 12 class, 92% of whom achieved an ATAR score. The achievements of all the girls who produced their best efforts across the spectrum of courses are to be commended, as are the dedicated and diligent teachers who have guided them so expertly, and with so much care over the course of their time at Fahan.
Some key achievements include:
• Fahan’s median ATAR, a key indicator of the level of the girls’ overall performance, was 88.85, meaning that 50% of our students earned results that placed them in the top 12% of students nationally.
• An outstanding 19% of our girls obtained ATARs of 95+, placing them in the top 5% of students nationally.
• An amazing 43% of our students achieved an ATAR of 90+, placing them in the top 10% of students nationally.
These are wonderful results for the girls, their families and the School. The following girls achieved outstanding ATARs of 95 or above: Sophie Young - 99.90, Saffron Warden - 98.00, Maja Burggraaff - 97.55, Helen Li - 97.25, Amelia Spence - 97.15, Abbey Wiltshire - 96.85 and Katherine Jordan - 95.10.
We are also thrilled for our Year 11 students. A record number of 14 girls have qualified for Pockets of Excellence. To earn this award, each girl must average 19 or above in her top two subjects and have a total of more than 70 in four subjects. Well done girls!
Congratulations to the 2019 girls who led Fahan School so actively during the year and their teachers who have guided them to achieve such superb results.
