There was a humorous writeup in the Mercury on Friday 17 December on the Formal Memories of two members of the Fahan Alumnae who both graduated in the 1970s.
Anna McMahon told reporter Linda Smith that "Being the late '70s I remember a lot of particularly bad '70s fashion ... shiny synthetics, lurid colours and for some reason we all seemed to have flowers pinned in our hair."
